Harwin Motorsport Stock Rod Racing Team
Hi, Thanks for visiting my site I am Luke Harwin and I am 16 years old.
I race a Vauxhall Corsa Stock Rod at Alwalton Raceway (Peterborough). I started racing when I was 13 in the Junior Rods at Alwalton. I was quite succesful in the Junior Rods and I am hoping to continue my good luck in the Stock Rods.

What do you need to do to start racing?
You need to get a strong car and put safety features in including a roll cage, safety harness and a racing seat. The car needs to be completely stripped of all flammable materials including carpets, dashboards etc and glass eg:windows and lights. Another safety feature is that the petrol tank has to be replaced and repositioned higher up and the pipe has to be run through the car with a cut off switch and many more safety alterations need to be added. On a stock rod, trailer wheel arches must be added along with side-skirts between the arches. |
